Privacy policy - data processing

Informed consent to process your personal data.

We process the data you enter when following our skills training courses. This data concerns the sleep and wake data that you provide us through the sleep screening and the completion of the sleep diary. Without this information, you cannot receive personal advice and it is also not possible to provide additional support should you need it. In our privacy statement you can read which personal data we process and for what purpose.

1. Processing your personal data 
   
   
   1. What are 'your personal data'?
      Personal data is data that can be traced back to a specific person. When you become a client with us, we ask you for specific information such as your name, date of birth, telephone number and e-mail address, sleep and wake habits.
      
      
   2. What does 'processing' mean?
      The meaning of the term "processing" : collecting, storing, consulting, in order to provide a personal service.
      
      
   3. Why do we need permission to process personal data?
      We are not allowed to process your personal data without your persmission. If you do not agree or withdraw your consent, we will not be able to serve you properly. Appropriate care can only be provided if all relevant data is available.
      
      
2. What do we do with your personal data?
   
   
   1. Your data will be used to create an account and to save information about your progress in a file. This information is not shared with anyone, only the person(s) responsible within Brainwise has/have access to it. This data is only used to provide you with tailored care.
      
      
   2. Sharing information with other healthcare providers: We are not allowed to share information about you or your progress with other healthcare providers without your permission. Our system is set up in such a way that you can decide for yourself whether you share information with other healthcare providers. You can export information about your sleep diary or sleep screening as a pdf.
      
      
   3. 3 weeks after your training program ends, your data will be archived and stored securely. Your account remains in our system

Informed consent regarding the processing of your data for evaluation and research.

In order to keep our services up-to-date and to be able to provide the best care, it is important that we can evaluate the quality of our services. As such, we would like your permission to process your collected data of your skills training anonymously. This allows us to research the effectiveness of our training offered and to improve it if necessary. Your data is linked to a code and processed anonymously. It will be used as part of the group data of all participants who give consent for this analysis.

This group data can be published via our website or possibly via a (scientific) publication. Your individual data can never be linked to your personal data by external parties, except by the person responsible within Brainwise.

You are always free to refuse the use of your data for such research. This will in no way hinder your participation in one of our skills training courses.
